What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician Administrative Assistant position at CCN Pharmacy?
§ Enter new patient demographics based on site.
§ Verify patient information, updating insurance, demographics
§ Organize prescriptions from Pharmacy by script number, pull prescriptions for copying based on audit description when necessary.
§ Support SCR’s with mailings, placing prescriptions on hold, and contacting Doctors office for prescription refills.
§ Review Specialty Care Representatives daily tasks to ensure completion.
§ Verify that patient refills are processed as necessary and shipped accordingly.
§ Ensure that all active patient profiles are current and up to date with timely completion of refills.
§ Responsible for the management and completion of incoming prior authorization requests.
§ Problem solve insurance issues by contacting insurance companies to verify patient coverage.
§ Record all communication/ events concerning any/all communication with patients, staff, clinics, doctors and insurance agencies at all times.
§ Research and obtain co-pay cards for patients when applicable.
§ Manage weekly co-pay reports, ensuring that all eligible claims were billed appropriately.
§ Provides continuous follow-up on refills not yet received back.
§ Answer telephone and take messages for patient refill request and related pharmacy business.
§ Print according to site, sort, and fax refills appropriately according to Doctors preference.
§ All other duties assigned by Supervisor.
