LOCATION:
- New Holland Park: 400 E. Jackson Street, New Holland, 17557
CAMP DATES:
- Session 1: June 16 - June 27
- Session 2: July 7 - June 18
- Session 3: July 21 - August 1
Ability to work all 3 summer sessions (6 weeks total) OR will consider candidates who can work 1 or 2 sessions (2 weeks per session)
CAMP SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday with half AND full day options: 8:00am-1:00pm (half day) or 8:00-4:30pm (full day)
The hourly summer Counselor pay rate is $14.00/hour
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspire and motivate each child to engage fully in a variety of activities within the program, while promoting their independence.
- Ensure the safety of all children in the group by maintaining constant supervision.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to contribute to the planning of summer programs.
- Provide constructive feedback to the group leader to help assess and achieve the goals and outcomes for the children during program sessions.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by the Aaron’s Acres administrative team, including safety protocols for participants, volunteers, and staff.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Undergraduate students studying social work, special education, music therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology or other related field - preferred
- Prior experience working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
CREDENTIALING :
PAID CLEARANCES -Eliminating upfront costs for required PA clearances!
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
