About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Financial Counselor to join our team in the Insurance industry.
As a Patient Financial Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting patients with understanding their insurance benefits and financial obligations related to medical services.
You will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processing.
Your ultimate goal will be to provide exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout their healthcare journey.
Minimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in medical billing or insurance
- Strong knowledge of insurance terminology and billing procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications :
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and billing software
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Clinical knowledge and background
