What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician - Trauma Services - Montgomery County position at CCTC Opportunities?
CCTC is seeking a full-time Clinician to join our Trauma Services Department in Montgomery County where we provide state-of-the-art trauma-focused treatment (evaluation, therapy, case management services) to children ages 18 months through 13 years and their families in the aftermath of child maltreatment or other trauma.
Responsibilities include;
- Providing individual therapy to child victims of trauma
- Providing family therapy to child victims of trauma and their caregivers
- Providing supportive counseling to the caregivers of traumatized children
- Providing case management services to clients on an as needed basis
- Developing discharge plans for child clients in collaboration with their parents/caregivers and assisting parents/caregivers with the implementation when appropriate
- Providing community-based interventions for our ongoing clients including, but not limited to, accompanying a child and his/her family to court proceedings related to the trauma and going to a child’s school to assist his/her teachers in understanding and managing a child’s trauma-related symptoms
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Family Therapy; or have a Doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA accredited university. Experience in child/family therapy is required, as well as a commitment to working with this highly specialized population. Prior experience providing trauma-focused therapy with children and families preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants encouraged to apply. Covid-19 Vaccination required.
