Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced Fiber Optic Splicer to join our company. A qualified candidate will have a strong background in WDM and CWDM MUX/DEMUX Ports and Applications. Must have working knowledge of fusion splicing (both ribbon and loose tube) and be able to terminate, test, troubleshoot and maintain fiber optic networks. Also needs to have experience in terminating all fiber counts into various types of Fiber Enclosures and Panels.
Minimum 3 years of SPLICING EXPERIENCE with a valid driver’s license with a clean record and a decent work ethic, and familiarity with the use of Aerial Lifts . This position requires the ability to work various shifts/hours, travel, outdoor/indoor work environments.
Job Description
Responsible for terminating and testing various fiber optic systems including WDM and CWDM passive Multiplexers and De-multiplexers.
Must have the ability to comprehend fiber schematics and other company records in order to ensure a high-quality performance. Will need to update and maintain fiber records throughout a project as well as completing weekly paperwork such as time sheets and daily work orders. Candidate must have a wide variety of skill sets and must have the ability to work alone effectively and efficiently. * A minimum 3 years of fiber experience, capable at terminating and splicing of fiber optic cables. * Travel will be required Working Conditions * Hours may vary, but generally 40-50 per week. * Work schedule can vary between day work and night cuts.
