- Master s degree in nursing (MSN)
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse, a certificate to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, and a Furnishing Number issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- An active and transferable Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration for the designated practice site prior to completion of probationary period.
- Prior experience in Women s Health, Sexual Health, and Family Planning preferred

A Nurse Practitioner is an advanced practice registered nurse who possesses the advanced education, knowledge, clinical skills, and expertise beyond their initial professional registered nurse preparation to provide proficient higher-level health care in their area of specialization, who works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team following established standardized procedures and, within written guidelines and regulations, provides complete physical examinations, review of systems, diagnosis, psychosocial assessments, and management of health-illness needs in primary health care or other specialty areas. This position will have a focus in Women s and Sexual Health and Family Planning
