Duties:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to determine the scope of work and prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process
Experience:
- Construction based estimating experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Summary
As an Estimator, you will be integral to the construction process, responsible for accurately assessing project costs and ensuring effective cost control. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will utilize your core skills in construction estimating and pricing to deliver precise estimates that align with project budgets. Your premium skills in negotiation and familiarity with tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid will enhance your effectiveness. Additionally, your relevant experience in construction management and contracts will support successful project execution, making you a vital asset to our organization in achieving its construction goals.
