What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grinder Operator position at CD Custom Enterprises?
Duties:
- Operate and maintain grinders to shape and smooth sheet metal components
- Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate grinding
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand specifications and requirements
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet standards
- Fabricate and modify parts as needed using various grinding techniques
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Skills:
- Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with different types of grinders and their applications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections
- Knowledge of tooling and hand tools commonly used in grinding operations
- Experience operating cranes or other lifting equipment is a plus
