Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and programming press brake machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate and program press brake machines to bend and shape metal parts as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Fabricate components using various techniques including welding, plasma cutting, and machining as needed.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards and tolerances.
- Utilize basic math skills to calculate dimensions, angles, and tolerances for accurate fabrication.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling when required.
- Understand and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in the manufacturing process.
- Assist in the setup of stamping presses when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with programming press brake machines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding, plasma cutting, and machining is a plus.
- Strong understanding of basic math concepts related to measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to adhere to all safety protocols while operating machinery.
