Pay Range: $26.00-$32.00 (depending on experience)
Anticipated employment period: April1, 2025 - September 30, 2025.
Position Summary
The Outpost Manager is a leadership position overseeing all operations, programming, and services related to the Outpost area of the Recreation Department at CDA National Reserve. The Outpost is home to a state-of-the-art Fitness Center which offers cardio equipment, free weights, TRX, weight machines, an exercise studio, and a rock climbing wall. The Outpost is also home to the pool, spa, cold plunge, playground, pickleball courts, tennis court, dog park, sports field, fishing pond, and other amenities. CDA Explorers, our youth day camp, is also based out of the Outpost location and provides ongoing programming throughout the summer.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of the Outpost, including cleaning, organization, equipment maintenance, outdoor appearance, supplies, and systems.
- Oversee all programming, including CDA Explorers, pickleball activities and tournaments, bocce leagues and programs, group fitness, and other special events.
- Oversee all services, including personal training, rock climbing, pools, playground, dog park, fishing pond, and others.
- Provide direct customer service to members and guests at the Outpost.
- Hire, train, supervise, and coach up to 10 staff on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with Youth Program Coordinator to develop and implement that CDA Explorers schedule, programming, and operations.
- Assist in developing and executing an annual budget for the Outpost.
- Develop new programs, events, and services for CDA National members.
- Assist with facility maintenance and improvements and recommend items to consider.
- Manage all revenue related to the Outpost and help create new revenue streams.
- Build and maintain successful relationships with distributors and vendors.
- Create and implement strategies and tools for marketing of services and programs.
- Purchase necessary supplies for the Outpost in accordance with the budget.
- Maintain equipment both directly and by working with vendors.
- Uphold the Club’s policies and procedures both personally, and with your staff.
- Assist with projects and tasks in other areas of the Recreation department.
- Support other departments at CDA National, as needed.
Education, Training and Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Four-year college degree in related field is preferred.
- High level of organization, time management and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must operate efficiently in a fast dynamic environment.
- Possess a CPR/First Aid certification or be willing and able to obtain one.
