JOB PURPOSE:
We are looking for an energetic person to assist our growing aggregate sales department in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete work assigned by supervisor
- Know the types of materials being sold
- Greet customer and identify if the customer is a cash or credit transaction
- Following operating procedures for cash or credit transactions
- Ensure customer completes payment at the end of the day (no carry forward)
- Ensure scale tickets are complete, including a description of the vehicle, driver signature, job number, or job site; if driving for someone else, need the company name for the invoice; scale tickets must include the name and price of material being purchased.
- Verify product being hauled with loader operator or visual identification
- Ensure appropriate sales tax (6% is charged for material only
- Monitor to prevent unauthorized visitors to the pit
- Maintain a professional attitude and performance in accordance with the established personnel policies
