Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and triage to determine mental health needs.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing management of psychiatric conditions, including medication management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in psychiatric care and infectious disease management.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatry or Mental Health.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and board certification in Psychiatry.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and mental health standards.
- Proficiency in triage processes and patient assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Tebra, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
