Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, building repair, or a related field.
- Proficiency in wall repair, painting, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools.
- Basic mechanical skills related to vehicle maintenance and familiarity with tools required for vehicle repairs.
- Knowledge of safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good DMV record and a valid California Driver’s License with proof of auto insurance and registration
- Perform general repairs, including patching walls, painting, carpentry, and hardware replacement.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety, and security systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain and repair office furniture and equipment to ensure they remain functional and safe.
- Safely move and transport furniture, equipment, and other materials between locations as needed.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repair and maintenance tasks (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Maintain inventory and manage the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and safety equipment.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of fire evacuation plans and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, such as OSHA standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Ensure vehicles meet safety standards and comply with local regulations, including conducting regular vehicle safety inspections and maintaining accurate service records.
- Conduct safety audits of facilities and vehicles, identifying potential hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Support the management of emergency procedures and perform risk assessments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and safety compliance documents.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Administrative & Facilities Manager regarding building conditions, repairs, inspections, and compliance status.
