We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist oral surgeon during procedures such as extractions, implants, and other oral surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Take and process dental X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment notes.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions and support.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile environment in the operatory and surgical suite.
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and restocking as needed.
- Assist with patient scheduling and follow-up care coordination.
- Follow OSHA and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant, with at least 1 year in oral surgery preferred.
- Radiology certification and CPR certification required.
- Strong understanding of dental and surgical instruments and terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to calm and support patients undergoing surgery.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
