Our team is growing! We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Automation & Email Specialist to join our marketing team! In this role, you will own the execution, optimization, and reporting of email marketing campaigns and marketing automation initiatives in Pardot. You will play a key role in driving lead nurturing, improving engagement, and supporting overall marketing goals through seamless email and automation workflows.

This role is perfect for someone who loves combining creativity with technical expertise and has a passion for delivering personalized, data-driven campaigns that resonate with our audience.

Location(s): North Carolina Research Triangle or East Coast (preferred)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Design, build, and execute email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, newsletters, event invitations, and nurture sequences.
  • Create and manage automated marketing workflows in Pardot to support lead nurturing, scoring, and customer retention.
  • Develop and manage targeted email lists based on segmentation strategies, buyer personas, and engagement data.
  • Conduct A/B testing on email subject lines, content, design, and send times to optimize performance and engagement.
  • Analyze email and campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.) and present actionable insights to the team.
  • Ensure all email campaigns adhere to GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant regulations, while implementing email deliverability best practices.
  • Work closely with content, design, sales, and other marketing teams to ensure campaigns align with broader marketing initiatives and brand standards.
  • Manage Pardot account settings, maintain data hygiene, and oversee integrations with Salesforce CRM and other tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with Pardot (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement).
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for email customization.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles, customer segmentation, and lead nurturing.
  • Proficiency in using Pardot features, including Engagement Studio, automation rules, email templates, and lead scoring.
  • Basic knowledge of Salesforce CRM and how it integrates with Pardot.
  • Experience with email performance analytics and tools like Google Analytics or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and email marketing compliance best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pardot Specialist or Pardot Consultant certification is a plus.
