What are the responsibilities and job description for the Consumer Loan Consultant position at CDC FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Engage the member in a conversation; listen to what they are saying. Satisfy member needs by asking probing questions, providing customized solutions, and providing insights and education to prospects and members ➢ Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet member’s needs
➢ Handle member complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them promptly
➢ Answer telephone; return voice mail and email promptly
➢ Actively participate in all department meetings, and sales promotions
➢ Communicate loan decisions to members within the established service standard
➢ Follow all service standards established by the credit union
SALES
➢ Analyze member’s financial status, credit, and collateral to determine the best loan and credit options for the member ➢ Explain the various types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services to members ➢ Accurately review supporting documentation prior to the closing of the loan
➢ Accurately prepare all loan documentation prior to the closing of the loan
➢ Book loans into core system once loan documents have been signed by the member ➢ Contact members in order to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process ➢ Make outbound calls to generate loans ➢ Review loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to policy
➢ Troubleshoot/research member inquiries within boundaries of resources provided
➢ Attain sales goals on a monthly and annual basis
➢ Achieve cross-selling goals on products and services, including referrals, at every opportunity
