What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fraud Management Risk Specialist position at CDC FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Responsible for performing a wide variety of back-office tasks to support the daily functions of Fraud Operations by communicating between internal department, member contact, and by reviewing fraud reports in order to take appropriate action to migrate the loss to CDC FCU. Work with BSA/Compliance and Department Management to ensure internal controls and security measures are in place for tracking unusual account activity and transactions from fraud prevention alerts. Ensure that members, associates, and vendors are promptly and professionally served and contribute to the achievement of CDC Federal Credit Union’s Strategic Goals.
Perform duties related to electronic, titling, online and check fraud reviews
Adheres to internal control and security measures designed to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate losses and errors
Monitor fraud prevention reports and ensure appropriate steps are taken to reduce possible losses
Investigate fraudulent account transactions including but not limited to deposits and withdrawals made remotely through online/mobile banking, forged/altered checks, wire/ACH, ATM/debit cards and P2P
Review and respond to risk alerts through credit union approved software.
Title projects, as needed, to ensure the credit union has a “perfected lien” for vehicles financed by the credit union to include submitting payoff quotes to insurance company and members alike. Filing Deductible assistance, processing GAP and Cancelling CPI payments and MRC Warranty.
Processing member Skip-A-Payments and Loan Modifications and payments by mail.
Performing internal quality control reviews as needed and assigned projects to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
Process ATM/Debit Card fraud claims, check fraud claims, wire and unauthorized wire/ACH claims
Research fraudulent debit card dispute claims and chargebacks with merchants related to Regulation E
Review Share Draft file for fraud and process ATM/Debit Card disputes timely
Ensure operations validate domestic and international wire transactions
