Summary: The Case Manager is responsible for providing overall case management
services that include outreach, eligibility and career planning services. This individual
performs tasks with employers and students to ensure success of YouthBuild students. Work
includes meeting with students individually and collectively to provide supportive services to
barriers of success for each participant. This person must have a high emotional intelligence
and ability to work with at risk youth. Impeccable filing and organization is a must
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interviews student applicant completes the application and/or paperwork and
- Maintains case management records, appropriate documentation (employment
- Develops individual education and/or employment plans based on needs assessment
and assists clients in establishing self-sufficiency goals and developing and managing
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of working relationships with inter
agency staff and other community agencies to provide orientation sessions to explain
- Develop outreach strategies, marketing and resource materials for the employer and
- Provides students with information and coordinates tours to training vendors and
local community college and universities in the area.
- Plan and coordinate Friday activities/leadership development for students.
- Work alongside the AmeriCorps member to coordinate community service projects
and special events.

- Ability to relate, lead and provide job readiness instruction to youth.
- Ability to work as an effective team member is essential.
- Responsible for data management of the different portals for outcomes
- Update visual board with student hours, tests taken, etc. – weekly or biweekly.
- Participate in recruitment and enrollment meetings/strategies with Director and Data
- Conduct biweekly one-to-one check ins with students to provide supportive services
as needed.
- Assist Director with grant management as needed.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or higher, and two
over two years’ experience.
- 1 year experience in job development and placement
- Knowledge of construction industry and major private employers in the area.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to persuasively present program and
trainees
- Experience in planning and conducting training sessions or workshops.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position does not supervise other employees.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $36,400.00 yearly salary
- Bonus – Based on production goals met
