Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I (Human Resources Director), the Associate Personnel Analyst performs a wide range of personnel functions for staff at the California School for the Deaf, Riverside. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting Progressive Supervision/Discipline processes, conducting and coordinating Management Inquiries, responding to personnel inquiries, and collaborates with the Personnel Management Division at CDE Headquarters regarding employee performance and labor relations issues. Consults with and advises administrators or other interested parties on a variety of personnel-related topics, requiring the ability to gain and maintain the confidence and cooperation of those contacted in the course of work. Exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgment while working under changing policies, priorities, and tight deadlines. Additionally, manage, design, develop, deliver, and coordinate staff training programs for a wide variety of course topics for staff.

Knowledge of:
Human Resources policies and procedures, Labor Relations and Personnel Management Division policies and procedures, State Personnel Board laws and rules, departmental policies, California Human Resources (CalHR) Bulletins, laws and policies of labor administration, memorandums of understanding (MOUs), provisions of the bargaining unit agreements and the grievance process.

**EXAMINATION**

Individuals who do not have transfer eligiblity, must have taken and passed an examination to obtain list eligibility for the classification in order to apply.
