Shipper/Receiver – Flexible Packaging Division

CDF manufactures products ranging in sizes from 1 liter to 1,000 liters in its Plymouth, Massachusetts ISO and SQF certified facility. CDF’s products satisfy a variety of markets and applications, including the food and beverage, chemical, and cosmetic industries.

Position summary: Process all outgoing and incoming product and material

Qualifications required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Qualifications desired:

• Forklift license

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Pull product from inventory and prepare for shipment according to shipping paperwork
• Load all LTL and truckload shipments
• Prepare and process all small package shipments
• Make all required labels
• Organize finished goods
• Sign for all incoming material
• Conduct visual inspection of material and make notations for any damages and/or quantity exceptions; process all paperwork returns or damaged goods to quality control
• Process paperwork for all incoming material according to company procedures
• Move incoming material to appropriate storage location
• Cycle counts of raw materials and finished goods
• Ship finished products and receive materials
• Ensure inbound shipments meet company standards; reject if carrier or contents are unacceptable
• Ensure outbound carriers meet company standards; take appropriate action if unacceptable
• Follow good housekeeping practices according to SOP-shipping/receiving and warehouse to keep the dock and warehouse in an orderly manner; follow GMPs
• Document data on receiving/shipping logs
• Follow all quality and food safety policies and procedures to ensure CDF products meet all applicable customer, regulatory and industry standards
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as required

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of the job, incumbent is routinely required to stand, walk and sit. They are required to routinely use hands and arms for various product related activities talk and hear. The employees must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment:

The noise level within the work environment is moderate.

Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour
