As a Structural Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of engineering projects and design elements. This individual will have the avenue to gain knowledge, experience, and grow their career. Candidate should be self-motivated and willing to be challenged in engaging and meaningful work.
The right candidate is a degreed engineer with a structural engineering emphasis. Design experience in industrial and / or bridge projects is a plus. Duties will include preparation of design drawings, specifications, and reports, as well as generating studies and cost estimates. Successful candidates should have knowledge in designing structures using applicable codes (IBC, ASCE-7, AASHTO), and well as material design codes (AISC, ACI concrete, ACI masonry, etc.). Experience using design software (RISA, STAAD, LEAP Bridge, etc.), CAD, and spreadsheets are required.
Your expertise in structural engineering codes and your proficiency with design software will be essential to your success in this role. You will also need to be a strong communicator and collaborator to work effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements for the role :
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge in design of concrete and steel elements per code requirements.
- Must be able to comply with all client and industry safety requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify technical issues.
