We are a non-public, therapeutic day school that provides special education alternatives to students utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We accept students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delay, students previously diagnosed as having PDD-NOS, intellectual and specific learning disorders & other health impairments.

Our vision is to provide students with autism and related disabilities in pre-K-8th grade, who have not been able to make progress in a less restrictive environment, a high-quality instructional ABA program within an individually motivating environment in which they can meet or exceed IEP goals and demonstrate increased skills across curriculum-based assessments.
Summary of Duties
Reporting to and under the close, ongoing supervision of the Director, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is primarily responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior plans ensuring the effective implementation of all treatment and programming for our students.
The BCBA is primarily responsible for the consistent direct implementation of behavior analytic services as defined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) BCBA Task List and the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts. In addition, BCBAs may supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBA), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), paraprofessionals, and others who implement behavior-analytic interventions.
In support of our mission and vision, the BCBA works closely with other staff to provide the highest quality client services attainable by the organization using obtainable resources.
The BCBA is required to maintain strict confidentiality of company business records, client information, and other sensitive information at all times.
1. Behavior Analytic Services
· Completes on-site functional behavioral assessment for student IEP's at least one week prior to scheduled IEP meetings and throughout the school year as needed.
· Completes functional assessments in order to determine function of behaviors prior to writing behavior intervention plans for students on caseload.
· Develops treatment plans based on functions of behavior and treatment methodologies that are evidence-based and reflect current research findings.
· Develop and update behavior intervention plans quarterly, for IEP meetings, and 30-day reviews and throughout the school year as needed in collaboration with educational and clinical teams.
· Develop emergency behavior treatment plans for students on caseload as needed.
· Directly implements treatment plans and/or supervises others (e.g. paraprofessionals, RBT) in implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans written by a BCBA.
· Directly implements treatment plans and/or consults with other service providers (e.g. special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapist, etc.) in implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans written by a BCBA.
· Monitor all behavior intervention plans for students on caseload on an ongoing basis throughout the school year.
· Meets regularly with staff (e.g. Teachers, BCaBA, RBT) to address any program changes, complete further training and for ongoing supervision and consultation.
· Adjusts interventions and/or intervention methods when necessary and informs and/or trains staff (e.g. BTTs/RBTs) as appropriate.
· Orientate new teachers, clinicians, and staff on behavior programs.
· Provides direct instruction/ongoing supervision, training, and support to clients, staff members, and family members.
· Provide in-services for entire staff throughout the year as directed.

· Is responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of each intervention in place for each client on his/her caseload at all times.
· Regularly reviews BIPs for each client to ensure service needs, interventions, and replacement behavior goals are up to date.
· Collaborates with family, caregivers, and all service providers as necessary to ensure continuity of care.
· Attends all relevant meetings for clients, including IEP meetings and works effectively as part of a clinical team.
· Participates in the intake process for new students, upon receiving information from Director of Clinical Services, in a timely manner.
· Manages caseload, prepares, and submits all required documentation in a timely manner including conducting functional assessments, updating treatment plans/ progress reports, and analyzing data.
· Supervises Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), BCaBAs and graduate students if assigned to relevant cases.
· Exhibits exceptional organizational and professional behavior by following company policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan; plans for additional resources; supports organization's goals and values.
· Participate in at least 2 outside trainings per school year related to serving students with disabilities, particularly those diagnosed with autism, behavior management techniques, evidenced-based practices (ABA, Positive Behavior Support, etc.), etc.
2. Data Collection & Analysis, Documentation, and Communication
a. Evaluates the effectiveness of the implemented treatment plan and modifies plan as necessary.
b. Collects data before and during the implementation of treatment plans so efficacy can be assessed, and data-based decisions can be made. Collects or supervises BTTs/RBTs to collect accurate and timely data for all behavior programs.
c. Generates reports required for student evaluations in a timely manner.
d. Collaborates with Clinical Director and other BCBAs on a regular basis (including but not limited to treatment concerns, critical incidents, scheduling issues, variables affecting client progress, etc.).
e. Identifies and resolves obstacles in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
f. Establish and maintain consistent communication with the parents/guardians of students on caseload throughout the school year.
3. Other Duties
a. Works collaboratively with other company staff. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with other staff as needed for effective operations.
b. Adheres to professional and legal requirements and principles (BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts) as well as demonstrates sound professional judgment at all times.
c. Assesses own strengths and weaknesses, pursues training and development opportunities, strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, and shares expertise with others.
d. Shall be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to provide responsible care for all children, including children with disabilities. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds at a time.
- Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally able to provide responsible care for all children, including children with disabilities.
- Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, lower, bend, crouch, lunge, push, and pull to assist and instruct children throughout the day.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Abilities
➢ Possess at minimum a master's degree in behavior analysis or other natural science, education, human services, or a field related to behavior analysis.
➢ Hold a certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
➢ Must have completed additional BACB requirements for providing supervision to others as appropriate.
➢ Maintains all required BCBA credentials and ISBE licensure requirements where applicable.
➢ 1-3 years direct experience providing behavior analytic services to children or adults preferred.
➢ Ability to take positive and constructive feedback on performance of duties in a way that is productive for our students.

➢ Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance meeting Illinois minimum requirements.
