The Assistant Accounting Manager will plan, perform, and direct the department's accounting activities. They will work with the accounting staff to meet reporting and consolidate financial reporting deadlines, budget preparation, monthly account analyses, taxes, etc. The Assistant Accounting Manager will work with the factory controller and understand the results against budget. They will conduct performance evaluations and coordinate and identify training needs for current staff.

- Check information and data for accuracy and completeness and correct and complete them on time
- Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation
- Assist with preparing business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets
- Assist with producing monthly financial reports; ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards
- Actively involved with preparing and supplying supporting documentation of financial and JSOX audits. Audit planning throughout the fiscal year
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Create accounting workflow charts, write processes, and document them
- Account analysis and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
- Excellent use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook products
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in ERP accounting software. Experience with JDE, SAP, and AS 400 is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, statistics, or closely related field
- Eight years or more of related experience is required
- A certified Public Accountant designation is not required
- Experience in the manufacturing industry desired

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
