Position Summary:
Piping Designer II
Deer Park, TX
Long term in plant Field Piping Designer needed at client site to compete design project for petrochemical facility turnaround department. Dutites will include but are not lmited to: Walkdowns, Pipe Modifications, Create/drafter ISO's.
Please note this is not a senior level role.
Responsibilities:
Take P&IDs and work scope, complete needed field work, and develop piping design packages for multiple turnaround driven projects.
Combining drafting red lines for multiple projects from different vendors onto one drawing.
Resolving red lines with tiff embedded AutoCAD files.
Use iPad to collect data from the field.
Use iPad to directly upload data.
Extensive knowledge in drafting/design standards for regular drawings and day-to-day drafting.
Assist with drafting red lines that come from site work orders.
Assist with drafting red lines that come from MOCs.
Field walking PRCS, during the field walk sketching any changes found in the field.
Creating Inspection ISOs for PEI.
Create development piping drawings for PEI.
Create and update CMDs.
Creating Inspection ISOs; resolve unknown issues and field discrepancies.
Creating Inspection ISOs require field walking.
Understanding P&ID scope of work from a project and using it to create the Inspection ISOs
Maintain personal work logs and time sheet data updating in Excel. The personal work log will help control what projects are charged to when time sheets are completed. Work log is tied into Drafting Coordinators Department tracker.
Create new electronic documents, review and edit meta data on existing electronic documents.
Qualifications:
Required knowledge of AutoCAD 2023.
Experience with ISOs.
Understanding P&IDs.
Knowledge of Redlines.
MOC experience.
Education Requirements:
AAS Drafting preferred.
