CDIM Engineering, a growing environmental engineering and consulting firm located in San Francisco’s Financial District, is seeking an energetic and versatile environmental engineer, geologist, or scientist. The position is ideal for a motivated individual with a solid technical base and an interest in experiencing the breadth of the environmental engineering and consulting industry. Skills and qualifications :
- Evaluate client operations, processes and projects for compliance environmental regulations and environmental impacts
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in : civil, environmental, or chemical engineering; environmental science; geology; or other related field
- 1-3 years of experience in the environmental or engineering industries
- Introductory knowledge of and experience with California and federal environmental regulations
- Introductory knowledge of and experience with environmental investigations and remediation technologies
- Introductory knowledge of and experience with water quality, including contaminants, regulations, and treatment processes, with an emphasis on storm water
- Desire to work in the field at client and construction sites providing sampling, monitoring and oversight
- Interest in supporting CDIM project managers in : sediment, water quality, remediation, air quality, regulatory compliance and civil design projects
- Excellent independent professional judgement and interpersonal skills
- Capable of communicating clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Some experience in GIS and / or AutoCAD, GPT, or the interest and ability to learn new software technologies
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
