Construction Superintendent

Custom Home Builder in Aransas Pass is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, quality focused Superintendent.

CDK Coastal Homes, a fast-growing luxury home builder is looking for an experienced Superintendent and at the same time can deal professionally with a very high-end clientele. CDK Coastal Homes was founded in 2021 and has thrived as a small Custom Home Builder in Rockport and surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of custom home construction
• Coordinate with subcontractors to efficiently manage the construction schedule
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, ordering construction materials as needed.
• Inspect all deliveries, ensuring the materials are the right quantity and quality and are properly placed at the job site.
• Monitor quality of workmanship in detail.
• Manage multiple jobsites simultaneously.
• Proactively maintain daily communications with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely completion of work.
• Verify and approve invoices for completed, satisfactory work.
• Use creative problem-solving skills to resolve construction issues.
• Manage the final punch and close out process.
• Ensure all site policies are adhered to, especially cleanliness.
• Manage warranty issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide regular communication with custom homeowners to inform them of progress on their homes, build and maintain goodwill throughout the construction process.
• Communicate multiple times per week with each client.
• Send/receive professional emails, calls, texts with clients and vendors.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the builder.

Skills:

• Ability to read, understand, and explain construction blueprints and floorplans.
• Must possess expertise in standard construction practices.
• Ability to manage at all levels and motivate subs and suppliers to perform at a fast pace while maintaining high quality standards.
• Ability to deliver on time and on budget.
• Ability to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with demanding clients.
• HIGH skillset in communication and professionalism at all times.
• Great personality and ability to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Supreme level of multi-tasking and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to use iPads, and other mobile technology
• Able to learn new techniques and building sciences.
• Able to read and write professional emails and communications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
• A skilled tradesman with exemplary supervisory experience may be considered
• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree a plus!
• Please have job related references at the ready if selected for interview.
• Travel to construction sites daily is a must. This is a field management position.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 75 pounds, push and pull heavy items on a regular basis, stoop, kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
