What will you do as an Accounting and Tax Manager

The Accounting and Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial statements for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Analyzes accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
• Works with the Controller to coordinate month end close process.
• Reviews records of accounts and ensures accuracy including balance sheet reconciliations and sub ledgers.
• Works with the Controller to coordinate year end audit work with the 3rd party audit partner.
• Ensures proper tax filings including but not limited to income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, and use taxes.
• Helps to coordinate year-end tax work with the 3rd party tax partner.
• Oversees Accounts Payable, Payroll, and expense reporting functions.
• Develops systems for the maintenance of financial records, making use of current technologies.
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Controller or the CFO.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Integrity
• Bachelor’s Degree required or 5-6 years of related, relevant experience in Accounting, CPA certification preferred.
• Five or more years with relevant tax experience including working knowledge of national, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience managing accounting functions.

Critical Performance Skill :

Microsoft Office products, general ledger systems, payroll systems, and fixed asset systems.
