Product Manager-Machine Shop

Job Description:

Fast-growing interconnect distributor and contract manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Machine Shop Product Manager. As product manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring quality and efficiency, and coordinating with various departments to meet customer requirements, along with overseeing the entire production process from order entry to shipment.

Duties to include:

- Ensure integrity of product information including cost, resale, lead-time, descriptions, etc.

- Manage internal quote system by providing sales team timely responses to provide customers quality service

- Manage daily activities including creating and local part masters and bill of materials

- Monitor inventory levels

Review and manage WIP and backlog to ensure ideal product progress

- Proficient in interpreting drawings, schematics, and specifications. Understand dimensions, tolerances, material call outs, finishes, and instructions.

- Knowledgeable about various material including, but not limited to, metals, aluminum, steel, etc. as well as understand their properties and physical makeup.

- Knowledgeable about plating methods/processes, coatings and surface treatments, and compliance with industry standards.

ü Understand various machining processes such as, but not limited to, turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.

- Work closely with design engineers, production teams, quality control, and suppliers to ensure schedules are held and quality standards are met.

- Translate customer specifications into designs and offer customer solutions to customer needs.

- Familiarity with industry standards

Desired Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment

- Motivated and detail oriented

- Understand and be able to interpret blueprints

- SolidWorks/AutoCad/Mastercam

- Possesses good communication skills and a great attitude

Working Conditions:

· Work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility.

· Exposure to moderate noise levels.

· Exposed to areas that require PPE.

· 40-hour work week Monday through Friday with possible OT on a limited basis.

· Fast-paced work environment with high pressure deadlines.

· Continual interruptions and changes of priorities with daily challenges for the employee.

Physical requirements:

· This position may require standing and walking for extended periods of time.

· Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control, build, or feel objects and machinery

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
