Job Overview :

We are looking for an Audio Engineer in San Diego to enhance audio experiences for a vast user base through innovative consumer devices. You will work on advanced audio technologies like echo cancellation, noise reduction, and low-bitrate codecs, focusing on AR / VR headsets among other products. If you're passionate about audio technology and eager to work on groundbreaking projects, this role offers the chance to collaborate with teams specializing in various fields like research, computer vision, and social interaction.

Role Responsibilities :

Develop software for devices including speakers, AR, and VR headsets.
Work on real-time audio algorithms, particularly in Audio HAL development for Android systems.
Design, implement, and debug audio drivers, firmware, and AOSP components.
Innovate in system design, firmware, and signal processing.
Enhance performance, quality, and reliability in audio systems.

Qualifications

Required :

At least 3 years in real-time audio development.

3 years developing audio for real-time environments like games.

3 years in integration, debugging, and deployment of audio technologies.

Proficient in C with knowledge of C 11 or later standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred :

Deep understanding of audio signal processing and auditory perception.

Experience with Android audio frameworks including HAL, AOSP, and drivers.

Knowledge of complete audio system design from hardware to user interaction.

Evidence of innovation through products, publications, or patents.

Personal Characteristics :

Collaborative team player.

Proactive and adaptable to changing technical environments.

Eager to learn new methods, tools, and processes.

Capable of managing priorities and multitasking effectively.

Strong critical thinking abilities.

Compensation and Benefits :

Annual salary range : $80,000 – $250,000, based on various factors like experience, location, and market needs.
