The Business Development / Marketing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the proposal and business development process by gathering, organizing, and maintaining critical marketing and project-related data. Working closely with the Marketing / Proposal Coordinator and Business Development team, this position assists in the development of compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals in response to client solicitations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail- oriented, and proactive, with strong writing and research skills. They will support proposal development efforts by managing information databases, coordinating with technical staff to update resumes and project descriptions, and ensuring proposal requirements are met. Additionally, they will assist in identifying new business opportunities and maintaining marketing materials to effectively communicate the company's value.
This position requires the ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask across multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with internal teams to support business growth initiatives.
Onsite Requirement :
This is a fully onsite position with no option for remote work. Candidates must be available to work in the designated office location during standard business hours and as needed to meet deadlines.
Essential Functions :
- Supports Marketing / Proposal Coordinator and Business Development team by identifying and supplying information from existing libraries and databases to support proposal document strategy.
- Manages information capture, update, and revisions to project, resume, graphics, reference, and other data.
- Coordinates with technical staff and updates staff resumes, project descriptions for proposals, and copy for web, brochures, and print, etc.
- Works with technical staff to develop checklists of proposal requirements provided in client solicitations.
- Assists in identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for qualifications / proposals (RFQ / Ps), providing recommendations to Business Development team for viable projects to pursue.
- Meets deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, editing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.
- Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
- Provides assistance to leadership and project managers as requested.
