About This Contract Opportunity

CDS Logistics is seeking 1099 business contractors to execute last mile deliveries of large items in the home improvement industry. You will be completing deliveries of kitchen cabinets, windows, doors, mattresses, and appliances, installation is not required. We are looking for dedicated reliable professionals who are qualified to operate a 26ft box truck in alignment with all state and federal DOT regulations and who are established to contract as a best-in-class business partner. This opportunity would require contractors to be capable of providing a daily helper to complete two-man deliveries in alignment with our contract and customer delivery procedures. This is a critical business partnership that completes the final step in the home delivery process, ensuring a positive experience for our customers. We expect all business contractors to execute our delivery programs in alignment with our guiding principles.

Contract Requirements:

• Must be established to operate as a 1099 contractor.
• All drivers and helpers must be eligible to work in the United States.
• All drivers and helpers must meet MVR and background check requirements.
• Before executing a contract all drivers will be required to meet all DOT compliance requirements.
• Contract teams must have one team member driver or helper who can speak English.
• Contractors are expected to operate in alignment with the guidelines of the contract and obey all traffic laws and safety requirements.
• There are opportunities for contractors who own their own 26ft box truck with an automatic lift gate and there are opportunities for contractors who meet all requirements but are looking to lease a truck through CDS Logistics.

Essential Functions of the Contract:

• Contractors and helpers will be responsible for starting their day and loading their trucks in alignment with customer standards, ensuring that they are at their first stop within the estimated delivery window.
• Contractors are expected to align with the delivery program standards throughout the delivery process.
• All orders are scanned as they are loaded and then scanned as they are delivered while completing the delivery process.
• Drivers and helpers are responsible for scanning all proof of delivery (POD) documents after each completed delivery closing the delivery process. Delivery Scanners are provided to all contractor teams.
• Contractors are expected to maintain communication with the organization if they are unable to meet the contract requirements for their daily deliveries.
• CDS evaluates our business partnerships based on key delivery metrics that align with the delivery contract agreement. This includes scanning compliance, on-time delivery, POD capture, precall analysis, and CDET.

Pay:

Owner Operator (utilizing own 26ft box truck)

• $500 daily minimum ($2,500 weekly for 5 days)
• 66% of linehaul

CDS Leased Truck

• $450 daily minimum ($2,250 weekly for 5 days)
• 48% of linehaul

Additional Pay Owner Operator & Lease Truck:

• $40 daily fuel bonus.
• $20 additional day for stops over 10
• $85 additional if CDS requires a third man to complete specific deliveries.
• 100% of revenue for stair carries
• $500 contractor referral bonus, get paid to refer a friend or former colleague.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to execute the contract successfully and perform the contracted requirements.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, and walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The contractor must lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds consistently and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
