Position Information: Our client is seeking a talented Snowflake Database Administrator.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Snowflake databases, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
• Design, develop, and implement Snowflake-based data solutions in an Azure cloud environment.
• Integrate PeopleSoft data into the Snowflake data warehouse for enterprise-wide reporting and analytics.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support data migration, transformation, and loading processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance, data integration, and pipeline issues.
• Enforce data governance, security policies, and best practices in a cloud environment.
• Optimize data models, queries, and indexing strategies for scalability and efficiency.
• Automate database administration tasks using Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, BI Analysts, Cloud Architects, Security Teams) to ensure seamless data flow.
• Provide technical documentation, training, and support for Snowflake data solutions.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in database administration, cloud-based data warehousing, and data engineering.
• Strong expertise in Snowflake administration, including security, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including administration, performance tuning, and data integration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage).
• Experience integrating PeopleSoft data into a data warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in SQL development, query optimization, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with Matillion for ETL/ELT pipeline development and data transformation.
• Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Familiarity with data modeling best practices and schema design.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages for database automation and data processing is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot database and pipeline issues efficiently.
• Snowflake Certification (SnowPro Core, Advanced: Architect, or Advanced: Data Engineer)
