Position Summary
Material Handlers with CEC have the unique opportunity to be part of changing the status quo. Successful Material Handlers will leverage our practices to enhance job site logistics in creating unique and innovative opportunities to make a difference in the future of the construction industry. Material Handlers are responsible for supporting the effective and efficient movement of all material and tools on and around CEC facilities and construction job sites. The variety of our work requires our team to be industry-leading problem solvers with solid planning and troubleshooting skills. This is a safety sensitive position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in conducting Cycle Counting to ensure inventory accuracy
- Drive company vehicles as qualified and required.
- Delivers and picks up materials / tools in an efficient and timely manner.
- Prepare shipments via freight for outlying job sites, assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Sort cargo during loading or unloading process and mark containers with identifying information.
- Shelf / pick, log, clean, maintain tools as necessary.
- Processes various paperwork (i.e., routing slips, tool transfers, driver logs, ORM, return forms, etc.).
- Tracks maintenance and repair of shop vehicles. Informs Warehouse Supervisor of any repair and / or maintenance needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and 5s principles within the warehouse.
- Assists with building and Fleet maintenance (as needed).
- Assists Warehouse Manager / Supervisor / Coordinator with miscellaneous tasks.
- Have and maintain DOT certification and Forklift certification.
- Communicate professionally with management, coworkers, and customers.
