Job Description
CEC Controls Company is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team and support the organization, while providing direct assistance to the Project Manager to help ensure projects run smoothly from start to finish.
This is an hourly position, and the employee will be paid for all hours worked.
Responsibilities
- Work with Project Manager to assist with developing project documentation.
- Organize and maintain team filing & archiving system.
- Assemble project documents to provide to customers. Such as short-term lookahead schedules, RFI, submittal logs, site photos. Track accordingly.
- Print and bind documents such as drawings, test plans, and transmittals for on-site activities and signoffs. O&M manuals and as-builts for project closeout.
- Coordination with customers and subcontractors – including status updates and project meetings as needed.
- Coordination with purchasing for equipment and material delivery schedules. And assist with procuring materials needed to complete project goals
- Coordination with production team for fabrication schedules
- Data entry associated with preparing proposals and invoices
- Coordination of deliveries, material staging and storage as well as troubleshooting issues with deliveries
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Project.
- Strong knowledge of predictive project management and methods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across the organization.
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Previous experience in a PMA, or similar, role supporting multiple projects at any given time
- Physical and Legal Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
- Able to climb a 2-story ladder
- Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
- Able to lift 30 lbs. while carrying a laptop
