CEC Controls is seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical systems, including reading schematics and wiring panels. Mechanical knowledge is a plus, and the role requires the ability to follow directions and work independently in the field. This position involves travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
Electrical and Wiring Tasks
Read and interpret electrical schematics to guide installation and troubleshooting tasks.
Wire control panels according to specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
Technical Skills
Use a voltmeter to measure electrical values, diagnose issues, and verify proper operation of circuits.
Follow detailed instructions to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
Apply mechanical knowledge to assist in the installation and maintenance of control systems and equipment
Field Work and Travel :
Travel to various job sites, performing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of control systems.
Communicate effectively with the project team and clients to ensure successful project completion
Adapt to varying work environments, ensuring that all tasks are completed to high standards
Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are a plus
Practical experience in reading schematics and wiring panels
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to use a voltmeter
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with tools and equipment
Physical and Legal Requirements
Ability to travel greater than 50%.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
