Job Summary
CEC Controls is looking for an egnineering manager the municipal water and process team. Experience with design, engineering, startup, testing, and implementation of control systems, particularly in Water / Wastewater and Power Plant systems is essential. This role demands expertise in SCADA, PLC programming, and a deep understanding of industrial standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse team of 30 personnel that include branch managers, project managers, design / field engineers, and administration staff
- Work successfully with the business development team, estimators and managed staff to drive growth in sales and promote healthy relationships with customers
- Review job specifications
- Review and assist on proposal estimates
- Customer Coordination and ability to interface with clients, resolve commercial issues alongside business development
- Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external
- Determine manpower requirements and work with management to properly staff jobs
- Create / maintain project schedules and project tracking documents to ensure commitments are met on time and within budget.
- Ensure engineers have what they need in order to be successful in performing their project duties in a timely manner.
- Facilitate CAD, Field Wiring and Shop Coordination
- Perform project engineering duties as required.
- Provide engineering guidance as required.
- Drive standardization in execution across projects and in alignment with CEC project management standards
