Summary:
We are looking for an Automotive Emulation Conveyor Controls Engineer that must be able to lead and perform the emulation of control systems using Rockwell Emulate3D. Experience with emulate3D related to automotive automation and controls required. Experience with model creation, electrical wiring, and emulation debug are absolutely necessary. This position will work under the current emulation manager with a succession plan to take over the position in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Emulation - Extensive experience creating and debugging emulation models in Rockwell Emulate3D
- Electrical – Experience with automotive electrical conveyor system design and calculations
- Networking – Knowledge of ethernet networks required, Devicenet knowledge also preferred
- Programming – General knowledge of conveyor programming tools and requirements
- Mechanical – Autocad electrical, FactoryCad, and Eplan experience preferred
- Standards – Knowledge of General Motors and Ford standards and delivarables is preferred
- Customer communication – Communicating with the customer and supporting engineering team
- Industrial controls (PLC & HMI) – knowledge of industrial controls and automation is a requirement
- Good communication in person and remotely through Microsoft Office365 tools
Qualifications:
A minimum of two years experience and knowledge in the automotive conveyor emulation field is required.
- Associates degree or 2-5 years of automation experience – automotive plant experience is a plus
- Reviewing general project specifications and scope of work
- Emulation model creation and debug of conveyor systems in Emulate3D
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Ability to self manage working remotely as well as working in the Warren CEC office as required
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from CEC is required
- Must be able to travel to customer sites both local and nationally
