Job Description
The Senior Process Control Engineer at CEC Controls will focus on the design, engineering, startup, testing, and implementation of control systems, particularly in Water/Wastewater and Power Plant systems. This role demands expertise in SCADA, PLC programming, and a deep understanding of industrial standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Technology and Programming
- Work with SCADA hardware and software, and PLC programming using ladder logic and function blocks.
- Implement and manage control network infrastructure.
- Experience with VTSCADA, Wonderware, iFix, WinCC, FactoryTalk View, and GE Cimplicity is a plus.
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure all deliverables are met on time, focusing on programming and technology-related
- Design and Engineering
- Review and interpret specifications, control drawings, and HMI screens, leading the design and testing of control systems.
- Ensure all customer Factory Test requirements are met in accordance with specifications.
- Adhere to industry standards such as ISA and UL 508A, with a solid technical and engineering controls background.
- Collaborate with other departments and vendors to meet company and customer needs throughout the design and engineering phases
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent expertise and experience
- 10 years of experience in Instrumentation and Controls
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and electrical safety standards (NEC, OHSA).
- Proven abilities in design, engineering, startup, testing, and implementation phases of projects, with strong communication skills to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
- Physical and Legal Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship.
- Able to climb a 2-story ladder
- Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
- Able to lift 30 lbs. while carrying a laptop
