Job Title: Electrical Estimator (Mid-Senior)

Job Summary:
CEC Energy seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience estimating (and winning) industrial electrical projects, reviewing project specifications, and providing accurate cost assessments. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highly skilled estimating for projects in the scope of:
- Industrial: Fabrication, Data Storage Facilities, Manufacturing
- Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Oil/Gas Industries
- Renewable Energy & Energy Storage, Solar Power, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS))
- Automation, Instrumentation, and Controls
- Coordinate and develop the review of plans, specifications, and project estimates.
- Calculate material prices, labor costs, and equipment expenses.
- Assist Project Managers in ensuring projects meet or exceed budgets, deadlines, and goals.
- Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Review and recommend the best options based on cost and quality.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for estimating, scheduling, and issue resolution.
- Develop detailed written proposals for clients.
- Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services and track actual costs relative to bids.
- Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Assist in setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Detail-oriented with a sales-driven mindset.
- Experience in the construction industry is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for takeoffs
Preferred Qualifications (Plusses):
- Experience using Estimating Software tools.
- Industry experience in industrial construction, electrical projects, oil & gas, refineries, renewables, data centers, or large-scale projects.
