QAQC Manager
Location: Corpus Christi, TX
Employment Type: Full-time
We are seeking a QAQC Manager to oversee the quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) processes industrial electrical projects, service, and installations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and best practices. This role requires strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Inspect, test, measure, and document electrical installations and work completions to ensure they meet project specifications and industry best practices.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive QAQC program and inspection packages.
- Conduct quality audits, enforce work plans, and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Monitor QC/QA results, address non-conformance issues, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Research and recommend corrective measures to enhance quality performance.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other documentation for quality control processes.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports, trend analyses, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Assist with closeout documentation and final quality verification for project completion.
Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality issues.
- Develop and communicate preventative policies and procedures to mitigate quality issues before they arise.
- Train team members on advanced troubleshooting techniques and best practices.
- Evaluate solutions based on their impact on safety, quality, and cost.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and document project risks related to quality.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Support and enhance the company’s risk management processes.
Collaboration & Relationships:
- Work closely with General Superintendents and Superintendents to ensure proper implementation of Quality Control Programs (QC Manuals, QC Meetings, and QC Photographs).
- Maintain positive, productive relationships with employees, subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, engineers, and regulatory entities.
- Represent the company at industry networking events and business development opportunities.
- Promote on-the-job training and continuous professional development.
Other Responsibilities:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to solar and electrical quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong writing skills for creating documentation and SOPs.
- Previous experience as a project engineer in construction with a focus on QAQC.
- Valid driver’s license and a clear driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Additional Information:
- Travel will be required to various job sites as needed.
- Position requires hands-on field inspections and office-based reporting.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
