Position Summary
CEC is a specialty contractor serving clients around the US in the areas of electrical, mechanical, and technology. This position is responsible to create and provide training to the field project teams in-person and virtually that will help to build value and quality for our clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and expand the delivery of occupational apprenticeship program in the electrical apprenticeship.
- Be responsible for the Training, Mentorship, Educational and Instructional Component of CEC processes and procedures
- Assist and advise students, as appropriate.
- Engage the appropriate educational, industry, and workforce partners to assure apprenticeship programs meet current standards and workforce development needs.
- Define a career pathways framework, whereby under-skilled incumbent workers may advance to higher-level technical occupations.
- Submit quarterly reports documenting progress the continuous improvement of apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship program administration
- Collect and report feedback from program participants to evaluate the program and measure the impact of apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeships on participant employment.
- Work with the development team to assist with grant reporting to funders.
- Perform activities to plan, design, deliver and maintain Apprenticeship Program projects to improve the technical competence of the workforce
- Communicate Apprenticeship Program products and services to represented employees, staff, CECU management.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Coordinate all apprenticeship program such as on job training (OJT) activity, tracking related training, training, education, etc.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
Education and Experience
- 5 plus years of electrical management in electrical field oversight.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- OSHA 30 certification
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
- Master electric license is preferred but Journeyman license will be accepted.
- Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required.

- Requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.

- Possess good vision, normal or corrected. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision to discern color coded wires, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest), as needed.
- Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
- This position requires travel by vehicle, the ability to work and walk at construction sites during all stages, in all types of weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
