Assistant Director – Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic Services

Reports To: Director, Glen Cove Outpatient Clinic

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Outpatient Services in overseeing the clinical operations of the Glen Cove Addictions and Mental Health programs.
Supervise and mentor interns and licensed clinicians, providing support in managing caseloads and ensuring quality documentation.
Maintain a small caseload to stay engaged in direct client care.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of progress notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation in compliance with OMH, OASAS, and DOH regulations.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans and coordinate care.
Lead efforts in discharge planning, making referrals, and ensuring successful aftercare linkage.
Support the integration and optimization of electronic health records (EHR) and other digital systems.
Participate in leadership meetings, contribute to program development, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new clinical staff while conducting performance reviews.
Take part in the on-call rotation during designated weeks.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
✅ Current NYS LCSW licensure
✅ 3 years of experience in the human services field
✅ 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
✅ Strong knowledge of OMH, OASAS, and FQHC regulations
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and EMR systems (eClinicalWorks a plus!)
✅ Exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
✅ Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
✅ Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) certification preferred
