What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motor Winder Apprentice position at CEC Motor & Utility Services?

CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for a Motor Winder Apprentice at our Service Center in Palmetto, FL. This person will learn a very valuable trade and work under several experienced motor winders. Candidate should have some mechanical aptitude as well as a desire to learn how to wind electric motors. Our shop is fully air-conditioned and we offer great pay and benefits commensurate with your skill set and ability to learn a new trade.

Hours

Monday - Friday (7 am - 3 : 30 pm)

Work Environment :

Climate Controlled Shop

Physical Demands :

Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

Reporting Relationships :

The Motor Winder Apprentice reports to the General Manager

Note : This position requires drug and background screening.

Compensation : 20 - $24 hour

Responsibilities :

Follows all electrical safety rules

Keeps facility clean and orderly

May be asked to perform other functions not particularly addressed in this posting

Performs duties in a professional manner and works well with others or in a team setting

Regular attendance and adherence to prescribed work schedule to conduct job responsibilities

Observes safe work practices and safety methods; performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

High school graduate or equivalent

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and able to stand / walk for extended periods
