Job Responsibilities:
1. Apply managerial influence to ensure the sales department meets its sales performance goals.
a. Utilize budgets, projections, forecasts, marketing programs, inventory management, and planning to achieve the department’s objectives.
2. Use leadership skills to enable all employees to achieve the most success they can in a positive environment of teamwork.
a. Assist the sales team with motivation, training, and working with customers in processing and completing sales.
3. Lead the department to develop the best customer service possible.
a. Ensure all customers have a strong feeling of satisfaction and want to return to the dealers.
4. Strengthen and enhance dealership’s position in the community.
5. Co-ordinate with, and support, the automotive group’s management team.
6. Perform daily and weekly training personally and with the sales team on product knowledge, sales process, etc.
7. Calling/reaching out to customers who have submitted inquiries, visited the dealership and/or have serviced with us in the past.
8. Managing the selling of new and used vehicles, sales person activity accountability and personally putting deals together for the team.
Job Requirements:
1. Two years new vehicle sales management experience.
2. Strong leadership and organizational skills evidenced by history of stable and long-term career success.
3. Detail familiarity with DMS systems.
4. Knowledge and understanding of auto maker financial statements and how they are used to actively manage dealership operations.
5. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory environment for auto dealerships.
6. Satisfactory background check, drug test, driving record, and insurability.
7. CDJR experience is a plus, but not required.
