Position Summary Position responsible for performing clerical and secretarial duties in support of unit operations with heavy reliance on manual and/or computer processes. Such processes may involve compilation of reports, file maintenance, and general training of other clerical staff. The work involves providing office support services such as telephone, receptionist, and other office/tasks. Position works under general supervision of a manager for work assignments, direction, and supervision. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Position Responsibilities
1. Receives, screens, and refers telephone calls; queries callers and transfers or refers call to appropriate staff or other offices.
2. Composes and types correspondences, schedules, tables, statements, and other material from copy or rough draft.
3. Provides general training of other clerical personnel.
4. Prepares meeting agendas, attends meetings, and prepares meeting minutes.
5. Maintains appointment calendars.
6. Receives and routes mail; directs items to other staff or offices as appropriate.
7. Prepares statistical or other needed records and reports.
8. Prepares purchase requisitions and receives and checks items ordered.
9. Receives and assists visitors in the office; queries visitors and directs them to appropriate staff or offices.
10. Maintains office records, including data collection, billing, employee leave, and other records.
11. Prepares invoices for payment.
12. Maintains various office files.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.27 - $20.25 per hour
