All KB Duct Inside Sales employees are responsible for providing “Best in Industry” customer service to our distributors. This involves prospecting, qualifying, closing and maintaining communications with KB Duct customers. He/she must be able to learn the basics of duct system design and product specifications and benefits. The successful candidate must also have strong organizational skills as he/she will manage jobs after outside sales has landed them.

This role will assist customers over the phone, internet, email or in person with orders, quotations and product questions. Attention to detail is required to enter complex orders accurately into our system and tracking them to completion.

The major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be trainable to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Maintain, develop and expand relationships with existing customer portfolio in conjunction with the Outside Sales team. Typically, the Outside team lands new distributors and the Inside Sales Managers are responsible for servicing, maintaining and growing business with those customers.

  • Perform basic duct system design using proprietary CAD tools.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for KB Duct Products.

  • Handle technical support questions from new and existing customers.

  • Provide customer support via email and by phone.

  • Consult with customers on current and future projects.

  • Utilize Salesforce.com to track the sales pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Quote prices and manage quote follow-up activities.

  • Coordinate the fulfilment of customer requirements (technical support, training, sales collateral, etc.).

  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services to provide accurate and detailed information to customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Business, Communications or an Industrial Field or 2 years of experience in industrial sales.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office and the ability to learn proprietary design and order entry systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge:

  • Project Management - Ability to manage projects that include standard parts, custom parts, shipping and installation instructions. Must also have strong “Commercial Awareness” or ability to balance customer needs, technical requirements, and CECO profitability goals.

  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

  • Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job requires sitting, standing, bending, lifting.

  • Office environment; constant mental and/or visual attention; the flow of work requires focused, detailed attention while working at a computer monitor.

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.

  • Compliance with company attendance standard. Work hours may vary during peak production cycles.
