The Global Operations Manufacturing Specialist provides support of the company’s global operations, focusing on implementation and monitoring of company-wide initiatives, goal setting, and alignment through ongoing continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, productivity (cost and quality), and efficiency (LEAN Implementation). This role works with Plant level Management & Senior leadership who are part of the Platform Organization, to build World Class Operating capabilities and competencies. This role partners with Plant Leaders to improve key metrics on safety, quality, delivery, cash, cost and builds competencies and processes within our plants to achieve operating results. This position supports the cross- functional Global Operations team to drive efficiency, minimize risk, and achieve the organizations global strategic goals.
Your Responsibilities will be:
- Develops strategic global manufacturing plans that include manufacturing site capacity, technology, process capability/controls, and talent development that is aligned with operations objectives, quality objectives, product requirements, and business strategies.
- Partners with Plant Managers to ensure global best practices are documented & adhered to.
- Works in close collaboration and partnership with Finance, Quality, Sales, and Project Management departments to optimize overall operational excellence.
- Maintains adherence to CAPEX budget for all global manufacturing locations.
- Administers continuous improvements efforts in parallel at multiple locations.
- Develops, tracks, and reports out on KPIs to ensure customer and company business needs are consistently achieved and provides timely information to executive management team to drive effective business strategies.
- Fosters a collaborative relationship between site leadership teams to improve lines of communication.
- Works with LEAN leadership to implement LEAN concepts and programs to improve performance.
- Develops standard work for key roles across manufacturing operations and supports manufacturing leadership new to the organization.
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in multi-site/state/country;
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Experience with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and/or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with ERP migration, Inventory Control, management of external fabrication partners preferred.
- Prior experience in the Manufacturing, Engineering or Commercial Industrial industry experience is helpful.
Travel Requirements: Incumbents are expected to travel up to 50% of the time; must have the ability to travel across borders.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.
