Job Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Kearny, Hybrid (In-office 2x per week)

As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to play a critical role in managing and developing our HR functions to support the company’s vision and growth.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and highly motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR operations, including employee relations, compliance, payroll, benefits administration, policy development, and training. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication skills who can build relationships, drive HR initiatives, and adapt to the fast pace of a growing business. You will be instrumental in shaping our workplace culture and ensuring HR best practices are maintained as we scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Training: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management, offering coaching and mentoring across all levels. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance skills and support professional growth.
- Policy Development & Compliance: Lead the creation, implementation, and ongoing review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FMLA, workers' compensation, LOA, etc.).
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee the efficient and accurate processing of payroll, benefits enrollment, and management, ensuring employees receive timely and accurate compensation and benefits.
- Project Management: Lead HR initiatives and projects such as employee onboarding, performance management, and talent acquisition. Prioritize multiple tasks and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
- HR Systems Management: Utilize tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel), and Teams to streamline HR functions and maintain organized, up-to-date employee records.
- Workplace Culture: Actively contribute to cultivating a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with our values and promotes employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in human resources, ideally within small business or startup environments.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees.
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, including FMLA, workers' compensation, leave of absence, and payroll/benefits administration.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and a growing business environment.

- This is a hybrid position. Must be available to work from the Kearny office two days per week.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams while maintaining professionalism and integrity.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and leverage insights for strategic decisions.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive in identifying problems and driving solutions to completion.
