Position Overview
The Superintendent at Cedar and Sage Development is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, with a focus on residential and multifamily. This role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent works closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Functions
- Coordinates all site activities including the project schedule, site general conditions cost, quality control, project final delivery and punch-out.
- Acts as site liaison with subcontractors, vendors, client contacts and design team.
- Assistance with conducting initial site investigation to supporting the bid preparation phase of a project.
- Assist Project Manager with bidding, subcontract scope of work, pricing of owner and subcontractor change orders and verification of costs.
- Produce and submit RFI’s, Logs, Daily Reports, Incident Reports and Short Term Schedule documents accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Schedules and directs all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required.
- Resolves problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documentation of all corrections, changes and requests.
- Safety management including OSHA Standards, planning, communication, monitoring, enforcement and documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- OSHA 30-hour certification is required; additional industry certifications are a plus.
- Erosion and sediment control certified.
- CPR and First Aid certified.
- Fork lift certified.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug testing.
- Regular travel to job sites is required.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to residential and multifamily projects.
- Excellent project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate project teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
- Ability to navigate construction sites and perform site inspections;
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed;
- Ability to work in various weather conditions;
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities which permits the employee to understand verbal instructions and to communicate effectively;
- Sufficient visual acuity which permits the employee to perform the above duties;
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform office functions and operate office equipment;
- Sufficient physical ability to perform the above duties;
- While performing the duties of this job the employee will occasionally need to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds;
