Since 2018, Cedar Bean's Coffee Joint at 575 Pompton Avenue in the Township of Cedar Grove, NJ has taken great strides in building a unique, community-focused, quality coffee culture in the area.
We are looking for unabashed coffee and food lovers to join our crew at Cedar Bean's Coffee Joint. The ideal barista is someone who is passionate about coffee and creating incredible guest experiences grounded in respect, empathy, and the recognition that quality experiences come from independently-owned cafes that truly care about the details.
Our Expectations:
- You have Barista Experience in an independently owned coffee shop. Please don't respond to this advert if you don't have experience.
- Deliver impeccable hospitality to our guests and your fellow teammates.
- Work in a team to ‘dial in’ and serve a selection of delicious coffees in a variety of different brewing methods including, but not limited to: espresso, pour-over, and cold brew.
- Support your team in keeping the cafe running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, clearing tables, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing the condiment station, and taking out the trash.
- Stay knowledgeable about Cedar Bean’s current coffee and food offerings through tastings, cuppings, and information provided to you by the owner, manager, and others at Cedar Bean's Coffee Joint.

- Dedicated to your team and your guests - you understand and value empathy and use it to guide interactions on and off the job.
- Eligible to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older.
